Massimo Cremona, currently no.3 in the world rankings, yesterday announced that for the coming season he will be playing for top Italian side ACS Perugia again.
It will be Cremona's second successive year with Perugia after his contact expired at the end of last season.
"I settled down very nicely with this club," Cremona said. "Last season, only Napoli had the edge over us in all competitions. The level is so close and Perugia want to challenge again so I did not hesitate to sign a new contract."
Perugia were runners-up in all the main competitions in 2006/07, second to Napoli in the Champions League, Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Majors of Mons and Bologna.
In the latest FISTF ranking list, Cremona stands in third position with 2,639.50 points. Dutchman Eric Verhagen is the top seed with 4,213.75 followed by Spain's Carlos Flores with 2,675.25. Vasco Guimares (Portugal) and Massimiliano Nastasi (Italy) are fourth and fifth respectively.
Meanwhile, Errea, represented in Malta by Tutto Sport Ltd, have just renewed their kit sponsorship with Cremona for a third consecutive year.
