Peru clinic fund-raiser

We would like to show our appreciation to the 22 contestants who, with no little sacrifice, made possible an amazing presentation on June 16 at the Westin Dragonara Resort ballroom in aid of our new clinic of La Tomilla in Arequipa, Peru. Special thanks goes to Marquita Cilia who was the backbone of the event.  

From these 22 contestants 12 faces were chosen to personify each of the 12 months in a 2008 Faces Calendar.  We, Fr Giovanni Cefai Camilleri and Fr Anthony Zammit Tabone, are working very hard among the poor of Peru, especially the children and the elderly. A multipurpose building is being constructed (picture right) comprising a fully equipped clinic to alleviate the sufferings of many who otherwise will not have anywhere to go.

Thanks to fund-raising ventures like these, and thanks to direct donations, this project is going ahead and should be serving the people by the end of this year.
