A US judge has rescheduled for January the trial of the former British bankers known as the NatWest Three on Enron-related fraud charges, court records showed on Thursday.

US District Judge Ewing Werlein Jr reset the trial of David Bermingham, Giles Darby and Gary Mulgrew for January 7, next year. The three are accused of conspiring with rogue Enron Corp. executives in 2000 to defraud National Westminster Bank of $19 million, allegedly dividing $7 million among themselves.

The judge explained in an order setting the new trial date that one of the defense lawyers has a trial in a Texas state court that conflicts with the previous date of October 22.
