For the second year running the Spiteri Lucas brothers will be staging a show at the Malta Arts Festival 2007. And anyone who has caught any of their previous performances... either at St James or The Catholic Institute... will know they are in for a treat.
This particular production is called: Back in Time, The Legends of Music and will take up from where last year's Golden Oldies left off. The Spiteri Lucas cast of established and rising stars of the Malta music scene will perform numbers made famous by the likes of: John Denver, Edith Piaf, Tom Jones, Celine Dion, Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley. They will also cover some of the hits of The Beatles, The Monkees, Credence Clearwater Revival and The Blues Brothers. They will even interpret the music of some of Italy's top entertainers like Gianni Morandi and Lucio Battisti.
Taking part will be Glen Vella, Debbie Scerri, Ivan Spiteri Lucas, Natasha and Charlene Grima, Ludwig Galea, Nadine Axisa, Triccas and new boy Klinsmann. Mark Spiteri Lucas will direct the seven-piece band that accompanies the singers. The Dancel Dancers choreographed by Celine Buhagiar will add a further dimension to the proceedings, which will take place al fresco in the Royal Opera House ruins on August 6 and 7, both evenings at 9 p.m.
