Array of local, international artistes for Gozo festival

The sixth edition of the Gozo Music Festival, organised by Dynamic Promotions, will take place on August 18 at the Maxtura Fields on the way to Marsalforn.

The festival's reputation has enabled the organisers to invite international artistes who appear in the top charts around the world.

The aim is also to give local talent the opportunity to perform in front of a large audience and to offer an evening with a difference.

The night will kick off at 9. It will be set in three arenas and features 30 local and four international artistes. The music for this year's Gozo Music Festival will range from 1980s to 1990s, house to live rock.

The local artistes set to perform include Ira Losco, Band Winter Moods, Ivan Filletti and Friends, Scar, Gianni and Rug, Spectrum, Johnny Cash and the band, Klinsmann and band, Indigo, DJ Ruby, Miss Roberta, J Joy, Joseph Armani, Carl Bee, Clay C, Luke Blade, DJ Pantos, Duncan F, Stevy Vee, Drew, Conrad SK, Clayton J, Alvin Gee, DJ Jeff, Alex Grech, Alfie Fabri, Malcolm B, DJ Ryan, Neville Peak, Terra, Luc Adams and Steve Caesar.

The international artists Shena (UK), singer of the massive hits Stupidisco (Junior Jack and Kid Crème), Guilty (De Souza), Friday Night & Electro Sexual, The Weekend (Michael Gray); Prezioso and Marvin (Italy), the Italo Dance Superstars well known for the top hit singles Tell Me Why - Top 10 in the Euro Chart and Festival Bar 1999, Somebody, We Rule The Danza - 2002 live performance at Viva TV, Voglio Vederti Danzare - 2003 - No 1 in Italy, Spain and Austria, Rockin Dejays and I Was Made For Loving You - 2005 by 1970s rock band Kiss, Survival - hit in Austrian Euro song Festival 2006, Touch Me and New Mixes of hit single of Emergency 911 - 2007 New single; Ericke (The Netherlands) The Dutch house masters directly from Sensation White - winner of the Best House Deejay award in The Netherlands for 2005 and 2006 and producer of the smashing hit The Beat Is Rockin.

The evening will be hosted by Malta's top presenters from 89.7 Bay, Jonathan Abel and Elinor. Apart from all the artistes, one of arenas will include extra attractions for the evening - an ethnic and merchandise market, body art dancers, body painting, body massage, magicians and a snack bar.

A VIP area will also be available.
