Street cleaning

I want to thank the Attard local council for reading my letter (Clean Up!, July 20). Now at least we have less greenery, but we are still waiting for the street cleaner to clean up the area.

The last time we had a real street clean-up was about 18 months ago.

Is it so expensive to employ a street cleaner for at least once a month?

Dirt accumulates every day but at least we would have a clean-up once a month, in the months without rain. By the way, the pole with the sign "It's law, clean up after your dog" was placed in the wrong area, because the owners of a black dog, two boys, let their dog make its mess at the T junction with Dahlet ic-Cawsli area.

When are we going to see our street and its surrounding area really clean again?
