Triple F1 champion Nelson Piquet has lost his driving licence after repeatedly flouting driving laws in his native Brazil and has been sent back to driving school.

Piquet, who used to drive for Brabham, Williams and Benetton has reportedly already taken his first driving lesson. He and his wife, who lost her licence in similar circumstances, are expected to sit for their drving exam in August.

Their son Nelson Piquet Jr is currently a test driver with Renault.
