Vodafone customers will be given preference when purchasing tickets and also benefit from discounted prices to a number of music events as the mobile phone company launched the Vodafone Music Jam Club.

The company has already taken part in a number of musical activities, including the Bryan Adams and Josè Carreras concerts.

Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech said cultural activities, including the Notte series, the Malta Arts Festival, the Isle of MTV Malta Special and other concerts were projecting Malta as a distinctive cultural destination.

He said that apart from contributing towards musical events, such initiatives also helped the organisers and encourage them to hold more activities.

He said he was certain that the increase in the number of tourists in the first months of the year was also due to a number of activities that were held.

Vodafone chief executive Inaki Berroeta said the fact that a number of successful musical events were held in Malta in recent years shows that the local audience is eager for all kinds of concerts, both by local and international artists.

Customers can subscribe to the club by visiting any Vodafone Retail Outlet. For further information, customers can contact Vodafone customer service on 247 from their Vodafone phone or on 9999 9247 from any other line. Terms and conditions may apply.
