Hard Rock Café has announced a revitalised menu as part of celebrations to mark the 36th anniversary of HRC International.

Adding new items with global appeal, Hard Rock is also revamping the menu's look, combining its delectable food with a history of the greatest collection of rock 'n' roll memorabilia and the story behind some of its pieces including Eric Clapton's guitar, John Lennon's Remember Love drawing and Jimi Hendrix's childhood rocking horse.

Hard Rock's very own chef, Michael Berry, explained the new menu at a press lunch on Thursday.

Hard Rock International has also upgraded its drink menu, offering only top-shelf cocktails.

Two new additions to the drink menu is the Wildberry Smoothie - a frozen delight of fresh bananas, pina colada mix, orange juice and raspberry syrup finished off with a slice of fresh pineapple - and Hurricane - a rumbling blend of orange, mango and pineapple juice, infused with Bacardi Superior rum, dark rum, Amaretto Di Saronno and grenadine.

Hard Rock Café in Malta opened its doors on November 25, 2000, in Baystreet St Julians and then at Malta International Airport by opening a Hard Rock Bar at the departures lounge. The third outlet was another 140-seater Hard Rock Bar opened in March 2006 at Valletta Waterfront
