Breastfeeding record attempt

The Malta Breastfeeding Foundation, in collaboration with the Health Promotion Department and Mater Dei Hospital, is organising a breastfeeding event on August 8.

Mothers are invited to go to Mater Dei Hospital with their breastfeeding child to join other breastfeeding mother-baby pairs in trying to set a record of simultaneous breastfeeding.

This event is being organised worldwide as part of a multiple site attempt at setting a record for simultaneous breastfeeding in Malta and as part of a group of countries in Europe.

Mothers are asked to be seated by 9.15 a.m. Refreshments, entertainment and gifts will be provided for the mothers and their breastfeeding babies. Attracting a large number of mothers will set a record for Malta that might earn it a place in the Guinness World Book of Records.
