Auditor-General retained

Joseph Galea is to retain his post as Auditor General to ensure the smooth running of the Auditor General's office until a new Auditor General is appointed, the Department of Information said yesterday.

This is in accordance with an agreement reached between the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.
