Strummin' for a good cause

The Young Christian Workers (ZHN) are seeking guitarists and choir members to join the Strummin' Home concert, which this year will be held in aid of Suret il-Bniedem Foundation on September 28 and 29.

Apart from collecting money for the homeless, the aim is to give young people with diverse skills a chance to work together on the project.

An audition for choir members will be held by appointment on Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon at the ZHN headquarters, at 6, Triq Pietro Floriani, Floriana. Singers with a bass, tenor or soprano voice range are especially encouraged to apply. Guitarists are being invited to start attending rehearsals every Tuesday at 6.30 p.m. No auditions are normally held because only basic knowledge of chords and rhythm would be needed in order to take part.

Guitarists with advanced playing skills would be given the chance to audition for lead guitar parts. If chosen, they would be joining the Strummin' Home rock band to play solos during concerts.
