The Clothing Care Council (CCC) of the US has awarded the 2007 Award of Excellence for Quality Garment Cleaning and Customer Service to Queens Dry Cleaners, a first among Malta dry cleaners, the company said.

The Balzan firm said it has passed a rigorous set of cleaning evaluations to achieve the award.

The CCC introduced the award in June 2005. So far, about 170 companies around the world have obtained the award.

Queens Dry Cleaners said it is the third dry cleaner outside Canada and the US to get this recognition.
