Deficit in EU27 external current account

The EU27 external current account recorded a deficit of €32.0 billion in the first quarter of this year, compared with a deficit of e36.2 billion in the first quarter of last year and a deficit of e18.1 billion in the fourth quarter of 2006.

This provisional data, subject to revision, was issued by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Communities.
