On July 24, GEORGE, former police sergeant 692, of Qormi, residing at Paola, aged 84, widower of Roza née Sullivan, passed away peacefully at St Luke's Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by his children Vincent and his wife Bibiana, Marija and her husband Edwin Gauci, Jenny and her husband Albert Privitera, Olga and her husband Brian Bower, living in England, Carmen and her husband Charlie Borg, Joe and his wife Bernardette, Paul and his wife Rita, Franco and his wife Thelma, his brothers and sisters Anny, Sister Olga, Rina, Geraldu, Salvina, Joe and his wife Marilynne, Connie and her husband Maurice Bonnici, his wife's family who live in Canada and the US, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for Christ the King parish church, Paola, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Eden Foundation will be greatly appreciated.

Charity Cruise

An evening on board the mv Fernandez will be held by the Friends of the Little Sisters of the Poor on August 9 at 8 p.m. in aid of the sisters. Dog Lost

The owners of a bitch called Bella are pleading for the return of their pet which was lost in Sta Lucija on the evening of July 15 after she was startled by fireworks.

Bella was not wearing a collar at the time. She is very friendly but a little weary of strangers.
