WSC to tackle drainage overflow in Mgarr
The Water Services Corporation is taking remedial action to eliminate drainage overflow in Mgarr, Gozo, the corporation said yesterday.
A blockage arose when a road-building contractor caused a manhole cover and material to collapse into the deep sewer system.
The works, the WSC said, are complicated because the blockage is some 20 metres below road-level, entailing the use of special procedures, equipment and health and safety measures.
