Several drivers called The Times offices yesterday evening complaining that they had been held up in traffic in Psaila Street, Birkirkara for between 20 minutes and half an hour.

This was the result of a traffic diversion because the Sta Venera tunnels were closed to traffic for the letting off of fireworks marking the feast of St Joseph in Msida.

The tunnels were also closed off for the same reason on Saturday.
