Despite hours of deliberation in the Social Affairs Committee, prime-time TV shows and numerous letters and articles in the local papers, Government has failed Malta and me by not doing anything to protect the embryo from conception.

Shame on my government. Well done, you have just given many others and I yet another reason not to vote at all in the upcoming elections - for anyone. A government that is not interested in protecting these values, as one person rightly said, is toothless.

As for the Opposition, I am even more disappointed with Dr Sant who does not want to declare that he is truly pro-life by not taking a stand on the Constitutional amendment.

Labour would have been a choice for me, but I am never going to give my vote away to a party which may secretly be in favour of legalizing abortion if elected. Alternattiva Demokratika's Harry Vassallo cannot make his mind up on whether he is pro-life or not, lying to us for our vote and then saying he does not want to support the protection of the fetus through the Constitution.

To add insult to injury, he then threatens to take legal action against anyone who dares say he is pro-abortion. How ironic that it would come to this in Malta!
