Singers win awards at Tenerife festival

Priscilla Psaila and Eleanor Cassar

Eleanor Cassar and Priscilla Psaila won awards at the Universong Festival, held in Tenerife.

Ms Cassar won the Grand Prix for the best song, The Reason, composed by Paul Giordimaina with lyrics by Fleur Balzan. She also won the Golden Award for best singer.

Ms Psaila won the silver award for best song with Moments, composed by John David Zammit with lyrics by Joe Chircop.

Ms Cassar only missed the Grand Prix for Best Singer award by a point after she came head to head in the section with Italian Luca Seppe.
