A 24-year-old man was given a two-year jail term suspended for four years when he pleaded guilty to stealing a tourist's bag last Friday.

Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona heard Andrew Bezzina, of Hamrun, admit to stealing the bag from Splash and Fun Park, in Bahar Ic-Caghaq.

He also admitted to the possession of stolen money that amounted to Lm50 and breaching the conditions of a previous release.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.

Lawyer Anglu Farrugia was defence counsel.
