Two immigrants have been charged with the possession of cannabis resin with the intent to sell.

Ali Gadem Abdelrahim, 26, of Sudan and Abubaker Bashir Hussein, 23, of Chad pleaded not guilty to the possession of the drug in circumstances denoting it was not for their personal use. Mr Hussein was charged with trafficking in cannabis.

Both men have been denied bail.

Police Inspector Norbert Ciappara prosecuted.
