Boy, 9, in critical condition after fall
A nine-year-old boy is in a critical condition after an accident at his family's home in Qormi.
The police said it was informed that the boy had been admitted to St Luke's Hospital early yesterday afternoon.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the boy had been playing in the courtyard of his family's home when he fell over some stones and was seriously injured, the police said.
A police spokesman said when contacted in the evening the boy was still critical.
Duty Magistrate Anthony Vella has opened an inquiry into the accident.
