Vodafone will be introducing new roaming tariffs on August 30 with the launch of the new Vodafone World roaming tariff plan applicable for calls made and received within the EU.

With the new plan, customers will pay 25c (€0.58) per minute for all outgoing calls within the EU to numbers in the visited country, to Malta and other EU countries.

Incoming calls will be charged at 12c (€0.28) per minute for calls received while roaming in the 27 EU member states.

The rates apply for both post-paid and pre-paid customers, and there will be no distinction between Vodafone preferred and non-preferred networks.

In the coming days, the company will communicate the new euro tariff to its customer base through adverts, SMS, bill insertions, brochures and media communications.

The company will also be implementing a number of tariff transparency measures by September 30.
