Two men arrested over shooting incident

The police are holding two men, one of whom allegedly fired a shot in the direction of another man in Triq Bishop Labini, Birkirkara, yesterday afternoon.

The shot missed its target.

The incident occured during an argument between three men, one from Sta Venera, another from Birkirkara and the third from Gzira. At one point, the Sta Venera man allegedly fired a shot and fled together with the Birkirkara man, the police said.

Sources said the Gzira man reported the incident to the police.

The police found the two men who are assisting them in their investigations.

Duty magistrate Audrey Demicoli was informed of the case.
