Archbishop Paul Cremona has nominated Fr René Camilleri as his delegate for catechesis.

Fr René was born in Luqa in 1953 and was ordained in 1979. He furthered his education in Rome where he obtained a Doctorate in Dogmatic Theology from the Gregorian Pontifical University.

He teaches theology at the University of Malta and is involved in courses for the teaching of theology for lay people and in the media.

As Archbishop's delegate for catechesis, Fr Camilleri will head the Secretariat for Catechesis.
