Students at the Fgura Primary B state school sang We Are The World as they waved international flags and mingled with immigrants from Eritrea and Ethiopia on their last day of school.

The immigrants are housed at the living quarters adjacent to the Peace Lab in Hal Far.

Peace Lab director Dionysius Mintoff, who took the initiative to organise the event with the headmistress and school staff, said it was in line with the Lab's work to cultivate healthy values among children.

"The Fgura Primary B is the school for Maltese heroes," he said while briefly addressing the children.

The morning was dedicated to singing and the sharing of experiences especially with the immigrants who talked about their days living close to the Peace Lab.
