Maltese photographer lectures in Ireland

Photographer and artist Joe P. Smith has just returned from Ireland where he was guest lecturer of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and the British Professional Photographic Association of Great Britain (BPPA).

During his lecture, Mr Smith presented a cross section of his work, including fashion, commercial, the up and coming book project on the ageing population of Vittoriosa and also his acclaimed jazz photography.

The day was rounded off with a demonstration on digital imaging techniques.

This assignment followed another lecture Mr Smith had delivered during a collaborative seminar held in Malta last November by MIPP and SWPP/BPPA. His invitation to Dublin also materialised through the strong links forged between the Malta Institute of Professional Photographers and SWPP/BPPA.

This is Mr Smith's second major overseas lecturing assignment.

In January he was invited to lecture at the SWPP/BPPA annual convention in London.
