Ira Losco to perform at MTV festival

Ira Losco is the first local artist handpicked to perform on the same stage as international superstars Enrique Iglesias, Akon and Maroon 5 during the Isle of MTV Summer Festival at the Floriana Granaries on July 26.

Ms Losco will take the stage just before the headlining international act on the night.

This is just one of the four main events chosen by her management company, Jagged House Management, where Ms Losco will be giving a string of concerts in Malta and one in Gozo.

She will also be kick starting the concert of popular Italian singer Gigi D'Alessio at Manoel Island on August 11.

"Every new project brings with it a ton of work, baggage and emotions, but never once has it crossed my mind to be doing anything different," she said.

"To have approximately two releases a year takes a lot of hard work, but I owe it to my fans who have always supported me."

Ms Losco will be releasing her latest single Something to Talk About on Friday, and together with her band she will be playing it at the XFM Coke Cola Festival on July 21, before the performance of world renowned Steve Edwards.

She also has a couple more performances lined up at the Great Beer Festival, in Ta' Qali, on August 4 and the Sole Festival, in Gozo, on August 18.

Apart from her planned appearances, Howard Keith, Ms Losco's manager and producer, has also promised to release her first DVD by the end of summer.
