May I be allowed to correct what could have been a slight misunderstanding. As course co-ordinator, I have been latterly approached by several Gozitan students expressing their wish to register for the new, exciting post-graduate programme leading to the European Masters Degree in Mediterranean Historical Studies.
The Department of History of the University of Malta has always been acutely sensitive to the needs, difficulties, and genuine aspirations of Gozitan students. In response to their legitimate desire to have access to post-graduate evening courses like their Maltese counterparts, the Department will now be offering this particular course separately in both Malta and Gozo.
Subject to the number of registered candidates, the course will start in October. May I remind prospective candidates that to be admitted to the course, they should have at least a Bachelor's degree with Second-Class Honours or Category II in History, or in any other related subject.
