The Leisure and Tourism Economic Group (LTEG) of the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise have joined the Federated Association of Travel and Tourism Agents in criticising the decision to allow an oil platform to anchor in St Paul's Bay.

The group said it is worried that this has been done at the peak of the tourist season.

The LTEG is insisting with the authorities that this "monster" be relocated to any other area where it will be less visible, thus creating less inconvenience to the tourism industry.
