As a resident and a business owner in the vicinity of St George's Bay, Birzebbuga, I can only show unhappiness and loss of respect for our local and central governments.

The hole going up the hill to Ghar Dalam has been dug up three or four times causing great amounts of dust and traffic jams, that could have easily be avoided. When contacting the local council, they only give you an excuse that it has nothing to do with them. The Roads Department are the biggest joke, never answering the phone and if they do, excuses about someone being on leave or not around to answer questions are made.

The work has to be done, this we all understand, but the impact on residents has been ignored, the beach has become a health hazard, the zebra crossing/pelican crossing lights have been switched off since March (making the road crossing challenging to say the least) and the whole area is filthy.

Can anyone from the Tourism Ministry or the Environment Department help?
