A jacuzzi has been installed at Helen Keller School, in Qrendi, which caters for students with multiple disabilities and sensory impairments, as part of a refurbishment programme supported by the Vodafone Malta Foundation and the HSBC Cares For Children Fund.

Established in 1992, one of the school's aims is to provide a secure and supportive environment for its 23 students. This is achieved through the use of both the physical and human resources available within the school.

It also provides a peripatetic service for deaf and hard of hearing students in mainstream schools.

There are about 90 students receiving this service.
