With reference to the latest tuna pen drama, which occurred in Libyan search and rescue waters, I suggest that the fisherman concerned, Raymond Bugeja, should be arraigned on the following charges: failure to obey specific orders from the AFM; ignoring recent international agreement and aiding African migrants to enter Malta in an illegal way.

Many Maltese citizens now do understand that our country is facing an acute crisis. Many are aware that Malta's full membership in the EU is acting as a magnet for illegal immigrants. Malta has furthermore witnessed how reluctant Europe is to show real and tangible solidarity with our country. Financial aid should be regarded more as an offence rather than real help. The EU should well know that Malta's crisis derives from Malta's geographical size and Malta's present population per square kilometre. If this kind of silent invasion continues going strong, no amount of financial aid will then give us our country back in 10 to 15 years' time.
