Former Australia captain George Gregan has been cleared to play his final test on home soil against South Africa on Saturday.
The Wallabies scrumhalf was in danger of missing the match after injuring his leg in last weekend's surprise win over New Zealand but has been passed fit to play.
Australia coach John Connolly said injured hooker Stephen Moore was still in with a chance of playing but number eight Wycliff Palu had been ruled out and was in a race against time to recover for the World Cup.
"We'll keep our fingers crossed," Connolly said. "We've got a level of concern, there's no doubt, but we'll know more later in the week."
Gregan's availability means he will partner his long-term team-mate and flyhalf Stephen Larkham in his 100th test.
Larkham will join Gregan and David Campese as the only three Australians to play 100 internationals, and said he was delighted Gregan would be lining up next to him.
"I am very happy he is going to be fit for the test against South Africa and I think he will look forward to it as much as I will," Larkham said.
"I think definitely after the match is where the emotion comes in and I will start (to think) about it - but beforehand it is going to be business as usual."
