Annaliza Borg of TCTC mentioned many irrelevant points but did not reply to my letter (The Sunday Times, June 10).

The only thing that she contested was the date Thursday, March 22, instead of what I erroneously quoted as Thursday 9th. She was right.

In her reply Ms Borg did not contest that we were told in front of 250 people that the exams were not compulsory. The leaflets distributed, clearly stated that the course was free. If TCTC wanted to be clear they should have pointed out in the leaflet that all the students attending the course should sit for the exams and the cost of the course and exams together was Lm36. (But then they would not have received 250 applications.)
