Two men were yesterday charged with conspiring to deal in about a kilogramme of heroin.

Haithem Swissi, 24, and Emad Ibrahim Wadi, 21, both Libyan, pleaded not guilty to conspiring to deal in the drug and importing it on Wednesday.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti presided over the arraignment.

The accused were remanded in custody

Police Inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted.

Lawyer Gabrielle Buttigieg appeared for the Libyans.
