"The priesthood is a passionate commitment, a fiery-eyed vision, and an insatiable thirst for holiness and practical justice. The priest is called to be challenger, enabler, life-giver, music-maker, dreamer of dreams. He must be a man of personal faith, conformed to Christ, a man who loves scriptures, draws sustenance from the sacramental life of the Church, and truly knows the community with and for whom he offers sacrifice. A priest is a man with a clear sense of his own self, and one who strives to develop all his natural talents to the limit for the good of the Church. He is a man of unreasonable hopes and expectations, who takes seriously, for himself and for others, the injunction to be perfect as the heavenly Father is."

These inspiring thoughts by Cardinal Joseph Bernardin are found in the beautiful book Words of Wisdom, published in 1988 and compiled by Fr Daniel P. Cronin with a preface by Cardinal Basil Hume, OSB.

These encouraging thoughts can truly be attributed to our first Maltese Saint Gorg Preca, who had dedicated his whole life to teaching everyone to love God as he himself had loved Him.

Let us thank the Almighty God for giving us this holy priest and may we have more dedicated priests to follow his example. We should also thank God for the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the MUSEUM., as a lot of good is being sown by all its dedicated members, and even Pope Benedict XVI himself thanked them on the occasion of the canonisation
