As our country is assailed by a terrible heatwave, the searing heat is unbearable, especially for my poor mother who is nailed to the bed, enduring unnecessary suffering because the air-conditioning system fails to work during such a critical time.
I urge the authorities to take care of patients like my mother so that they can at least die with dignity.
