Quest Investment Services Ltd has launched a Capital Guaranteed Euro Galaxy Certificate issued by BNP Paribas Arbitrage issuance BV and guaranteed by BNP Paribas SA.
BNP Paribas is a leading banking and financial institution based in France. The bank is AA rated from Standard & Poors rating agency.
The Galaxy Certificate is available in euros for which the capital plus a minimum return of 4.20 per cent is guaranteed on maturity. The investment duration is of 18 months.
The product is linked to a basket of 20 blue chip stocks covering major markets such as Europe, US and Japan. At the start of the investment period a price reading of all 20 stocks is taken. After 18 months (the investment duration), the pricing of each stock is read again. The movements between the open and closing strikes will determine the percentage gains or losses for each stock.
The stock that has moved least from its starting position, i.e. from its open strike will be the share that will determine the gross return on investment. The absolute percentage gain or loss of that one stock will then be applied as a percentage return on the invested capital, meaning that the investor can make an attractive return on a positive or negative stock.
As a safety net, if the upside or downside on the least performing stock is not greater than 4.20 per cent, then the minimum guaranteed return of 4.20 per cent will be still be paid out at the end of the 18-month period.
The investment is a limited offer and will close on July 31 or earlier if it is fully subscribed.
The warrant and certificate programme of BNP Paribas SA has been passported to Malta. Further details on the investment are available from Quest Investment Services Ltd or from any APS Bank branch.
Quest Investment Services Ltd and APS Bank Ltd are licensed to conduct investment services business by the Malta Financial Services Authority.
