A company yesterday claimed that the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre Ltd had reduced the space allocated for a stand at the Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre in Naxxar in order to accommodate a third party.

Bonsons Ltd filed its judicial protest against the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre Ltd.

Bonsons claimed that last May it had entered into an agreement with MFCC in terms of which the latter company was to provide it with a stand for this summer's Trade Fair.

The stand was to measure 67.55 square metres, and in return, Bonsons was to pay MFCC Lm809.09.

But Bonsons claimed yesterday that MFCC had reduced the area of the stand to 57.5 square metres in order to accommodate Vodafone Malta Ltd.

Bonsons added that MFCC had no right to reduce this space, and it called upon MFCC to once again allocate the full area of the site in terms of the contract entered into between the parties.

Lawyer Peter Caruana Galizia acted for Bonsons.
