The government has embarked on a process to extend the Corradino Business Incubation Centre (KBIC) facilities, Government Investments Minister Austin Gatt said.
The initiative would mean that the centre would be able to take 40 companies instead of the current 23. At the moment, over 80 per cent of the offices are being used. This was evidence of the centre's success. Another sign was that the companies at the KBIC up to the end of last year employed more than 200 workers, Dr Gatt said.
The expansion is expected to cost Lm400,000, part of which will come from EU funds.
