Joseph Mallia, head of Madonna Tal-Mensija Primary School 'A', San Gwann, and representatives of the three other schools from Italy, Germany and Northern Ireland participating in the Comenius project 'Open Windows' held a meeting at St Aloysius Primary School in Lisburn, Belfast, North Ireland, to analyse the results of the survey conducted on the schools' staff competence in IT.

The schools noted certain similarities such as age groups in comparison to IT orientation, resources maintenance, hardware and software upgrading, etc. and discussed ways and means of how to address such issues.

The meeting participants also took part in a videoconference with another school from Eire. During the weekend, they visited Ireland's north coast and other places of interest including the botanical gardens, Belfast University and several churches in the vicinity.

The next project meeting will take place in Malta this November.

The project is being funded with the support from the European Commission under the Socrates - Comenius programme.
