Four guest performing arts tutors, including Maxwell Key, a freelance professional theatre director who has done work for the National Theatre in London, will be visiting Malta next month to lead Masquerade's Summer Experience (MSE).

The MSE workshops, to be held during one week from July 23 - 28, will give youngsters aged seven and older the chance to act, dance, sing, and experience the fun of performing, and offering new, stimulating artistic ideas to 'young at heart' adults.

Mr Key's workshops will teach new techniques and ways to work with different texts, using play extracts ranging from the Grimm tales to Cabaret to playwrights Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller.

Jorell Coiffic-Kamall, Desrinea Ramus and Joe Chaplin will team up to conduct a brand new, energetic workshop on the ever-popular styles of Street Dance - Locking, Popping, raw Hip Hop and Break Dancing. They have choreographed a unique medley especially for workshop.

Masquerade organised its first series of summer workshops back in the summer of 2000, and tackle different areas of performing arts each year. One can choose to attend the MSE workshops during mornings, afternoons or evenings.
