Drug trafficking charges
A young man was yesterday charged with trafficking in cannabis and with possession of heroin and cocaine.
Jonathan Cassar, 22, of Marsascala pleaded not guilty to charges of being in possession of about half a kilogramme of cannabis resin with the intent to sell it and trafficking in the drug on and before Wednesday.
He also pleaded not guilty to the possession of heroin and cocaine and was remanded in custody.
Magistrate Doreen Clarke presided over the arraignment.
Police Inspector Dennis Theuma prosecuted.
Lawyers Michael Sciriha and Ian Farrugia were defence counsel.
