A young man was yesterday charged with the possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to sell.

Robert Attard, 23, of Marsa pleaded not guilty to the possession of over 100 grammes of the drug in circumstances denoting they were not for his personal use on and before Monday.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke remanded Mr Attard in custody at this stage.

Police Inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted.

Lawyers Giannella Caruana Curran and Emmanuel Mallia appeared for Mr Attard.
