I would strongly urge the government to use some of the EU contributions to seriously tackle the problem of vehicle emissions especially from buses and commercial vehicles. What chance have residents when they live in such narrow roads, especially on bus routes?
EU funds can also be used in another health-related matter: Obesity, especially in children.
Malta has a disadvantage here as being a small island it is limited in regard to meaningful outdoor playing and walking areas.
I would urge the government to use EU cash to create areas where children and young adults can congregate safely for games and exercise. These must be supervised and maintained, with toilets and attendants.
