New party

I refer to your front-page report (The Sunday Times, June 10) entitled 'Josie Muscat's party launched' in particular the penultimate paragraph: "Angelo Xuereb claimed that the authorities botched his proposed Verdala golf course after years of expensive studies..."

I would like to point out that no reference was ever made in my speech to any of my group's commercial activities. I deliberately refrained from mentioning my business activities as well as the many injustices that I had suffered throughout my career, both personally and as a businessman.

My main objective in joining the political fray is, and will always be, to improve the well being of our country and its people.
