Italian Ambassador Paolo Andrea Trabalza, Principal Education Officer of Italian Anthony DeGabriele, and Education Officer Margaret Gerada recently visited the exhibition "Andiamo a Mille con Garibaldi", organised by the Department of Italian language at San Andrea School Senior School, L-Imselliet, under the co-ordination of Mark Sciberras, Sharon Abela and Audrey Galea Spiteri.

The exhibition, which comprised students' projects, charts, models and portraits on the famous Italian, Giuseppe Garibaldi, was part of a national competition to commemorate the bicentenary of Garibaldi's birth, in which all Maltese schools were encouraged to participate.

The students also took part, for the second consecutive year, in the Italian quiz "Campionissimo", and the "Campioni d'italiano" trophy was awarded to The House of Aragon, the Greens, the competition's winners.

In a separate activity to enhance the students' exposure to foreign languages, Grade 9 students of French participated in the annual event of "Question pour un champion". Questions set were all linked to the material covered during French class. The House of Auvergne, the Yellows, were presented with a trophy as the winners of this year's edition.
