Tour to Austria for word game winner

A Mondial tour to Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary as well as a year's membership in the Scrabble club will be awarded to the winner of the new word game series starting today.

The prize consists of a seven-day tour departing on August 10 and returning on August 17.

On August 10, a group, together with a tour leader, will depart to Vienna where a coach will await them to take them to a four-star hotel in the Vienna Woods region. An excursion visiting Seegrotte, a historic underground salt mine, will follow, after which the group will visit Europe's largest underground lake.

The following day, the group will be taken on an optional excursion visiting Slovakia's capital, Bratislava. The group will visit the Old Quarter, which boasts Baroque palaces, churches and squares as well as St Martin's Cathedral and the Bratislava Castle. There will be time for lunch and shopping before heading back to Austria for an optional dinner at the hotel. On Sunday, the group will visit the village of Maria Zell situated at the foot of the Alps in the province of Styria. After visiting the basilica of Maria Zell, the group will be taken to the Monastery of Melk to visit the Benedictine Abbey.

Other visits on this trip include an optional tour of Budapest in Hungary, Brno in the Czech Republic, Vienna and the Burgenland region in Austria, with a stop at the Schonbrunn Palace and the zoo, among other places.

The flight on the last day will depart at 7.35 a.m. returning to Malta at 9.45 p.m.

The prize is for one passenger excluding taxes/fuel surcharge, excursions and single room supplement.
