Usury charge

A 63-year-old Floriana man was yesterday charged with usury.

Leslie Cardona pleaded not guilty to illegally lending money to a man at a high interest rate on and before March this year.

Police Inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted. Lawyers Franco Debono and Charmaine Cherrett were counsel to Mr Cardona.
